Thanks for the interpretation!
Here's what happens when I insert the memory stick:
[ 215.033111] usb 1-1.1: new high speed USB device number 15 using
musb-hdrc
[ 215.137725] usb 1-1.1: device v0930 p6545 is not supported
[ 215.148193] scsi3 : usb-storage 1-1.1:1.0
[ 216.168670] scsi 3:0:0:0: Direct-Access USB Flash Memory
PMAP PQ: 0 ANSI: 0 CCS
[ 217.126190] sd 3:0:0:0: [sda] 15667200 512-byte logical blocks: (8.02
GB/7.47 GiB)
[ 217.126770] sd 3:0:0:0: [sda] Write Protect is off
[ 217.126800] sd 3:0:0:0: [sda] Mode Sense: 23 00 00 00
[ 217.127349] sd 3:0:0:0: [sda] No Caching mode page present
[ 217.133575] sd 3:0:0:0: [sda] Assuming drive cache: write through
[ 217.147674] sd 3:0:0:0: [sda] No Caching mode page present
[ 217.153350] sd 3:0:0:0: [sda] Assuming drive cache: write through
[ 217.181915] sda: sda1
[ 217.197082] sd 3:0:0:0: [sda] No Caching mode page present
[ 217.211608] sd 3:0:0:0: [sda] Assuming drive cache: write through
[ 217.217742] sd 3:0:0:0: [sda] Attached SCSI removable disk
It seems to be high-speed, and it is automatically mounted. The folder pops
up on the desktop listing the content.
Very nice!
(Note that I use a rather old Snowball, no longer supported 100-00103-A12
with serial number SDK00136, or maybe it was 138, running Linux Ubuntu from
2011-12-21 build.)
