It’s that time of the month again, and there is excitement in the air!
The 2012.04 Ubuntu release leaped to Precise Pangolin distribution, which among other things means the builds are now done for the armhf architecture. This should show up as performance improvements here and there.
For Android Ice Cream Sandwich the 2012.04 release is even more thrilling as multimedia acceleration becomes available. This also means we don’t have the “to be included in future releases” section in the full release notes anymore, as all pending major features are now in place. Of course there is lots of work to do still though…

After a struggle to find an elusive graphics bug, we are now finally able to announce the Ubuntu Desktop release for Snowball, versioned 2012.03.1.
The good news is that we were able to squeeze in an additional audio fix in the list of fixed bugs as well due to the delay.
Other noteworthy fixes include the WiFi and Bluetooth features, though not without few known issues still.
Read the full release notes for further details.
On a related note, there is now a documented work-around for the USB Host issue many have been encountering.
The 2012.03 Android Ice Cream Sandwich release from Linaro and Igloo Community is now available!
This release includes fixes for WiFi, Bluetooth and GPS as well as an upgrade to Linux kernel based on the recently released version 3.3.0.

Today the 2012.02 Linaro releases are out, and Snowball is of course one of the supported platforms.
Among a list of other bug fixes, the Ubuntu Desktop release brings in kernel based on the latest stable release series, 3.2, and the Android Ice Cream Sandwich release introduces ability use the Android Debug Bridge (ADB) over USB rather than the network.
