LCD Error using riff

Postby gio_diblasi » Mon Dec 05, 2011 5:28 pm

Hi to all,
i'm trying to use riff tool to flash snowball, but, when riff detects the device, it always gives me the same errors: the same errors:
Code: Select all
- Listening on USB for device connection...
18:08:54  - Device detected on USB@0
18:08:54  - Connected Device@0
18:08:54  - Initializing device...
18:08:56  - LCD ERROR: Error while initializing device -1
18:08:56  - COMMAND ERROR: Command execution failed -1
18:08:56  - Disconnect detected on USB@0
18:08:56  - Disconnected Device@0
18:08:56  - Destroying LCD context...
18:08:56  - LCD ERROR: Failed to destroy LCD context 10056

I've used both precompiled tool and sources compiled by me on ubuntu 11.10 and ubuntu 10.4.3 ... but nothing.
Do you have any ideas???

I am having the same issue as you described. I built riff from sources on my opensuse 12.1 host machine. How did you resolve this error?

when i run riff with the -v option, i get the following output:

----------------------- riff - Raw Image File Flasher -------------------------
Version: 0.5.0
Flash a device. Try `riff --help' for more information.
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------
13:48:10 - Using config file /usr/share/riff/snowball/config
13:48:10 - Listening on USB for device connection...
13:48:14 - Device detected on USB@0
13:48:14 - Connected Device@0
13:48:14 - Initializing device...
13:48:14 - UNKNOWN token
13:48:16 - LCD ERROR: Error while initializing device -1
13:48:16 - COMMAND ERROR: Command execution failed -1
13:48:16 - Disconnect detected on USB@0
13:48:16 - Disconnected Device@0
13:48:16 - Destroying LCD context...
13:48:16 - LCD ERROR: Failed to destroy LCD context 10056

This output is not the same as yours as there is an UNKNOWN token error!!! Does anyone know what is the root cause of this error?

Upon further investigation, it looks like the problem is cause by the the use the wrong config pack binaries. Make sure you are using the appropriate config pack binaries. You can verify this from the config file! Let me know how it goes.
